Mr. Ravi Puravankara is the Founder & Chairman of Puravankara Limited. Under his guidance, supervision and mentorship, the Company today has emerged as one of the largest residential real estate conglomerates in India. Renowned for pioneering new trends in the market, Mr. Puravankara has been responsible for introducing mid income consumer premium homes within easy and affordable reach by launching Provident Housing Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary. An iconic leader and a disruptive forward-thinker, Mr. Puravankara’s strategic planning gave genesis to affordable luxury for aspirational Indians, creating the foundations of the premium affordable housing industry. Mr. Puravankara was also one of the first to obtain FDI in the Indian real estate sector through forging a joint venture with Singapore-based Keppel Land Limited. Mr. Puravankara has also been instrumental in implementing best practices in construction by focusing on technology to achieve quality in execution as well as in sales and customer relations.
Mr. Ashish R. Puravankara, as the newage leader, has played a pivotal role in the growth of the Company through his emphasis on innovation, strategy formulation, operational control, financial management and enterprise capacity development. Today, Mr. Puravankara is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business with his primary focus anchored on opportunity identification. He has also been instrumental in implementing best construction practices through acquiring new material resources and focusing on technology as a means to achieve quality construction on a growing project scale. Mr. Puravankara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and graduated as a MBA from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon.
Mr. Nani R. Choksey possesses over four decades of rich experience in the real estate development, construction and finance sectors, thriving on his strong business instincts. He has played an instrumental role in the growth of the Group since its inception in 1975. In the early days, Mr. Choksey was a oneman team, overseeing most departments, from legal to CRM. Even today, he is actively involved in all of the Company’s projects, bringing his rich industry experience, attention to detail and an appetite for growth to the business.
Mr. Pradeep Guha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts from Mumbai University and an EDP Diploma from Asian Institute of Management, Manila. He has over 42 years of strong experience in the fields of media, advertising, marketing and branding. Mr. Guha was the President of The Times of India Group and was also on its Board of Directors. He also completed a successful stint as the CEO of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. In his previous stints, he was the Vice-President and Area Director of the International Advertising Association, Asia Pacific region, as well as the Chairman of the Asian Federation of Advertising Association.
Ms. Sonali Rastogi Graduated from the School of Planning and Architecture (New Delhi) and The Architectural Association (London) with a graduate diploma in Housing and Urbanism and a second graduate diploma in Graduate Design, Sonali is Founder Partner of Morphogenesis. Sonali has recently been awarded Laureate of the SIA Getz Award for Emergent Architecture in Asia, Singapore 2014, which seeks to bring recognition to Asian architects, who through their vision and commitment have made a significant contribution in shaping the changing landscape of Asia. Ms.Sonali Rasotgi is a member of the Delhi Urban Arts Commission (DUAC), a Fellow of the IIA (Indian Institute of Architects) and the RSA (Royal Society of Arts, UK). She has been responsible for a number of nationally and internationally acclaimed projects. Issues related to the environment and sustainability are at the core of Ms.Sonali’s design attitude and her experience and expertise in Architecture/ Interior Design has been recognized by way of numerous awards and accolades. Ms.Sonali has recently been listed among the 10 icons of the design world by the celebrated Platform Magazine. She lectures globally, has been a part of various academic and design juries, and been a speaker at events such as The Design Leadership Summit 2014 (New York), GRIHA Conference 2014, India Design ID 2013 Symposium, Women Leaders in India Conference & Awards, Pecha Kucha (Sydney and New Delhi). Sonali is also a founder member of manthan; a cross-cultural platform for creative exchange, aiming to be the voice of the Indian creative community.
Mr. Anup Shah Sanmukh holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from HR College, Mumbai and a degree in law from Government Law College, Mumbai. He has over 35 years of experience in the field of law, specifically real estate law. Since founding his own firm in 1993, he has advised developers, builders and foreign and domestic investors in structuring real estate transactions, leases, development agreements and joint ventures. He specialises in commercial and property documentation, corporate and commercial litigation, property related issues, land laws and arbitration and alternative dispute resolutions. He is the Founder Partner of Anup S Shah Law Firm in Bangalore.
Kuldip Chawlla is an accomplished professional, with a career spanning over three decades across diverse functional roles in banking and financial services, infrastructure and real estate. For the last 15+ years has been in senior leadership positions in the field of real estate, particularly in the areas of corporate and project finance, risk management, full life cycle investments, operations and change management. Before joining Puravankara Ltd, he was the Managing Partner / Principal of two global and national real estate platforms investing across multiple asset classes, pan India. He has led acquisition and divestment of over 15 mn sft of commercial and residential office space across 6 gateway cities pan India. Prior to this, he held senior positions in the financial services, private equity and infrastructure at Unitech Realty Investors, IL&FS Investment Managers, Chescor Funds, ANZ Bank and ICICI. Kuldip is an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies - Delhi and is a recipient of the prestigious Udyog Ratna award in 2008. He has been a past member of various associations such as The Indus Entrepreneurs Association (TiE) and Indian Venture Capital Association (IVCA), and on various Real Estate Committees of, among others, Assocham, FICCI, and CII. Kuldip has been invited to the Membership at the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. He has been a regular speaker at conferences and seminars on real estate for the past 15 years.
‘Quality Management System’ is a repository of processes and systems, which deﬁne all activities at Puravankara. The QMS ensures delivery of a quality product at optimum cost and minimum impact to the environment and society at large. QMS training is mandatory for all employees, upon qualiﬁcation they are QMS certiﬁed. Puravankara’s QMS conforms to the ISO 9001 standard.
Project Review Management is a monthly review process for ongoing projects. PICs (project-in-charge) prepare a progress report benchmarked against international best practices including project progress, project cost report, project inventory and project risks. Senior management presence at these forums enables quick resolution of project issues and provides impetus for speedy execution. The PRM rates all PPL projects on key parameters such as progress, schedule, cost, quality, safety and housekeeping. Outstanding projects receive a commendation every month; best-in-class projects are awarded every quarter.
